MEP John Bowis has been appointed the EU Parliament’s Rapporteur on a directive that aims to set a clearer framework for cross-border patient rights. The directive will endeavour to clearly define the rights of EU patients who seek healthcare away from their home country. Mr Bowis has been Conserative MEP for London since 1999.
